About Two Old Friends

A singer-songwriter duo blending folk music with rich harmonies, featuring guitar and ukulele. Their performances include a mix of original songs and beloved covers, creating a heartfelt and engaging musical experience.

About Jinny Frampton

After learning a few chords from a high school friend in Montreal at age 15, Jinny fell in love with playing, writing and singing. While teaching herself many songs and learning by ear, she played at weddings in northern Minnesota, sang with a band called Sundance in Niagara on the Lake and performed at church gigs back in Montreal. She took a long break from music until 2001. After moving to Calgary in 2013 she started playing and writing songs again and in 2016 Jinny met Pat and was asked to play in a small group called Bog Minstrels. Amidst Covid, that group took a break and Pat and Jinny formed a duet and Two Old Friends was born. With lots of time on her hands during COVID Jinny wrote many songs and Two Old Friends did backyard gigs
for family and friends. Playing at cSPACE is a great opportunity for her to share her songs and show all the work she and Pat have done, not only singing songs that Jinny has written but also cover songs that they’ve selected. All the songs are filled with beautiful harmonies and heartfelt lyrics.

About Pat Tufts

Pat has been involved with music since she was very young. From singing and playing guitar around the campfire at Mara Lake with her Dad, to formal music lessons in voice and piano, Pat went on to sing and play keyboards in the alternative rock duo ‘Cosmanat’, releasing cassette and 45 rpm recordings.  Pat also sang in ‘Vocal Latitudes’ community choir for 12 years.

Most recently Pat’s musical journey finds her partnering with Virginia (Jinny) Frampton in the duo ‘Two Old Friends’ playing both Baritone and Tenor Ukulele and enjoying singing harmonies. Pat and Jinny also play in the Saturday Morning CALL Ukelele group.

Pat plans to continue playing music and growing her musical interests every day.
