This class will get kids familiar with the machine, sewing basic stitches, both machine, and hand stitches (including sewing buttons) by sewing beginner projects all in the name of fun and creativity! Students will learn their way around the machine through various projects and gain the foundational sewing skills to take into future projects for themselves. They will learn how to read patterns, and how to choose fabrics and patterns right for the projects they are making. They will make simple and functional projects like pyjama pants, and a drawstring bag ( to hold all the things)! The skills of sewing can seem daunting, but with the right instruction, it can be fun and sew much easier than you think!
