What does my donation support?

Your donation goes directly to the care and maintenance of our beautiful Studio Theatre, allowing us to support artists with below market rates and state of the art equipment that may not be accessible otherwise

Here’s a further breakdown of what each donation level supports:

Front Row Champion ($5000)

A top-tier supporter, your donation will play a crucial role in sustaining our theatre’s state-of-the-art equipment such as live stream recording equipment, vinyl sprung dance floor and cinema grade projector, helping to nurture artistic experiments with the best provisions for success. At this donation level, an artist performance at a community event will be dedicated in your honour. 

Orchestra Patron ($2500)

Did you know the Studio Theatre hosts over 100 single & multi-day arts, community and non-profit events each year? This generous gift will ensure we continue to host diverse and high-quality performances and community events like Jubefest!

Encore Enthusiast ($1000)

Your contribution will help us maintain affordable rental rates for clients and tenants, like award-winning small-to-mid-size theatre companies such as Forte Musical Theatre, Sage Theatre, or Dancers’ Studio West whose annual Quick + Dirty Festival supports emerging dance artists.

Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes, 100% of your donation to this campaign is tax deductible. The tax receipt will be issued by The Calgary Foundation.

Can I make a donation on behalf of a company or an organization?

Absolutely! We encourage families, groups of friends and colleagues to pool resources and dedicate a seat plaque together.

How long will the plaques be up? Can I visit my plaque in the Studio Theatre?

Theatre Stars plaques will be up for 10 years and will be installed on the seats of the Studio Theatre at cSPACE Marda Loop. The Theatre is open during presentations and community events.All donors will be invited for a tour of cSPACE and the Theatre in the Fall of 2024.

What do the plaques look like? How many characters to I get?

The plaques are engraved metal, designed to fit with the aesthetic of the Studio Theatre. Check out the sample plaque design and character limits here 

How many spots are available? Can I choose which seat to place my plaque on?

The Studio Theatre has a total of 68 seats available and seats are assigned on a first come, first served basis based on the donation amount.
