Alberta Culture Days are around the corner – and there’s no better time to experience everything cSPACE Marda Loop has to offer
Enjoy a weekend of open studios, exhibitions, performances, and art demos
Our three-day celebration of the arts starts on Friday, Sep 29 at 11 a.m. with a family-friendly Kick Off Party presented in partnership with the City of Calgary. Drop-in all weekend to enjoy a variety of activities for all ages.

Friday, Sep 29 – Kick Off Party Culture Days
From 11am-8pm the cSPACE Marda Loop ArtPark will come alive for a Culture Days Kick Off Party presented in partnership with the City of Calgary. Join us for a full day of family-friendly performances, live music from local bands and plenty of unique arts programming, demos and hands on experience.
Tour the cSPACE Marda Loop building, popping into artist studios, learning about the arts and experiencing the creative energy of our arts hub.

Saturday, Sep 30 – 11am to 11pm
Explore cSPACE Marda Loop at your own pace, wandering the halls of our vibrant new arts hub and popping into all the open studios to meet the artists and organizations who call cSPACE Marda Loop home. Or check out the full programming schedule to plan your trip around one of the many hands-on activities, artists demos, exhibitions or perforamnces scheduled throughout the day.
Print a postcard at Feast Letterpress, bring a tea towel to silk screen at Natalie Gerber’s Studio, get to know the Alexandra Writers Centre, grab a bite at one of the food trucks or spend the afternoon in our beer gardens.
On Saturday evening learn about our public art installations and listen in on a Panel Discussion about the value and importance of public art, or dance the night away in the beer gardens with music from live DJs.

Sunday, Oct 1 – 10am to 6pm
You know what they say… “A Sunday well spent brings a week of content!” Immersing yourself in arts and culture is the perfect way to spend a Sunday. Grab some friends or bring the family and indulge in a little creative exploration. Check out a live glass blowing demo from Glass House Collective, participate in public art at Paula Timm’s studio, or watch artists at work at one of our several live public art locations.
