At cSPACE Marda Loop, we have over two dozen amazing arts and culture tenants. Each Saturday we will be inviting you to meet them and discover what they do!
The Alliance Française of Calgary @af.calgary offers French classes to all ages, promotes French culture as well as the diversity of Francophone cultures, and creates an inclusive community for all to enjoy.
Their vision is to create a vibrant community around a passion for the French language and Francophone cultures.

Alberta Craft Council is offering this fun drop-in workshop in conjunction with cSPACE and Farmers & Makers Market. Lizzie Wharton will teach you how to create your own parachute guy.
About the artist: Lizzie Wharton completed her BDes in Graphic Design at the Alberta University of the Arts and has been running her art business, Clever Corvid, since the summer of 2024. She started selling art at the market at cSPACE and has since joined the Alberta Craft Council for the summer and is excited to share fun make-and-take activities!

Irene Poole is a singer-songwriter and actor from Banff, currently based in Calgary. She has captivated audiences around the Bow Valley and beyond with her heartfelt lyrics and angelic melodies. Her hopeful indie-folk songs often take inspiration from nature, and from songwriting greats like Joni Mitchell and Brandi Carlile. Through acting, singing, and playing her ukuleles, Irene aims to be a storyteller in everything she does.

CAS is a genre-blending musician whose sound fuses the raw edge of grunge, the introspection of alternative, the catchiness of pop, and a touch of the otherworldly. Known for delivering performances charged with intense emotion and unfiltered expression, CAS transforms every stage into a space of vulnerability and power. With powerful vocals and the unique ability to channel deep feeling through both voice and presence, she invites listeners into a sonic world that’s as haunting as it is unforgettable.
