From 10am-noon : Kearstin Pfeifer
Kearstin Pfeifer is a Calgary based singer songwriter who captivates crowds with her outstanding vocals and intricately crafted songs. Born and raised in southern Saskatchewan, Kearstin began performing and songwriting from a young age. Kearstin’s music is "rootsy with a touch of bluegrass", often utilizing the art of storytelling, and drawing much of her inspiration from creation. She offers a wide variety of folk/country cover tunes mixed in with her dreamy originals.
From noon-2pm : Albertosaurus
These original, dynamic folk-rock artists play songs that delve into diverse sonic landscapes with a firmament of vivid, wry and quirkily iconoclastic lyrics. Albertosaurus put on an engaging, interactive and fun performance, with sets that feature everything from upbeat rockers to gorgeous acoustic ballads to exuberant covers of well-known songs. You are sure to leave an Albertosaurus show smiling and humming to yourself.
At cSPACE Marda Loop, we also have over two dozen amazing arts and culture tenants. Each Saturday, we will be inviting them down to the market grounds to meet you and share what they do! This week, we are pleased to welcome Alberta Craft Council back to our tenant tent.
The Alberta Craft Gallery is an extension of the Alberta Craft Council - a Provincial Arts Service Organization that develops, promotes, and advocates for Craft in Alberta. They do this by supporting contemporary and heritage crafts as significant art forms that contribute to Alberta’s culture, and are invested in developing a craft sector of creative, skilled, viable, and sustainable craftspeople, studios, businesses, and networks.
So head down to cSPACE this Saturday to stock up on Farmers & Makers Market goodies, support our local artists along Artist Alley, pop inside to check out our tenant offerings and exhibitions, and take in some live tunes sponsored by Sarina Builds!
