Sonia’s live shows are a mix of family-friendly fun, big vocal moments, and tender storytelling. A folk/rock musician based in Calgary, Sonia is well-known around the city as a music maker, actor, writer, and mom. She’s also a community builder and loves to create opportunities for children and youth interested in a career in music. Come hang with Sonia and hear some of her award-nominated original music, as well as some covers you know and love!
From noon-2pm: Elle McAndrews
Elle McAndrews is a singer-songwriter and Pop artist in Calgary. She blends folk, pop, and soul into her music. Elle enjoys singing originals, but also a large variety of cover songs to please the ears of moseying shoppers. Elle will be accompanied this Saturday by market favourite Ben Tizzard!
At cSPACE Marda Loop, we also have over two dozen amazing arts and culture tenants. Each Saturday, we will be inviting them down to the market grounds to meet you and share what they do! This week, we are pleased to welcome Alliance Française back to our tenant tent.
The Alliance Française of Calgary is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the French language and francophone cultures in the local community. We offer a wide range of French language courses for individuals of all ages and levels, from beginner to advanced. Additionally, we offer cultural events and activities, such as film screenings, exhibitions, and concerts, to provide an immersive experience of French culture for our members. Offerings: Classes for kids/teens/adults. Kids’ camps. Team-building. Workshops. Drop-ins. Meetups. Retail sales. Public events & performances.
So head down to cSPACE this Saturday to stock up on Farmers & Makers Market goodies, support our local artists along Artist Alley, pop inside to check out our tenant offerings and exhibitions, and take in some live tunes sponsored by Sarina Builds!

In this collaborative drop-in painting session, everyone is welcome to contribute to a large-scale mural that celebrates creativity, connection, and community.
