Nuit des Artistes 2025: A Celebration of Art, Community, and French Flair

On February 13, cSPACE Marda Loop came alive with the magic of Nuit des Artistes, a French-inspired evening that captivated audiences with a vibrant showcase of creativity, music, and culture. With a sold-out crowd and an atmosphere buzzing with artistic energy, the event was a resounding success.

Guests were serenaded by the mesmerizing sounds of Tina Hartt et les Gardiens du Rhythm, setting the perfect tone for an immersive night of artistic exploration. Attendees got hands-on with heart-making led by Susanna Windrum and the Alberta Craft Council, while Alliance Française added a romantic touch with a Valentine’s card-making station.

The feature French 75 cocktail bar proved to be a crowd favorite, as did the intimate author readings curated by the Alexandra Writers’ Centre Society (AWCS). Art lovers wandered through open studios, discovering the creative worlds of Feast Studio, Anneke Forbes, Natalie Gerber, Make More Creative, Riyoko Work/Shop, Calgary Allied Arts Foundation, and the Alberta Magazine Publishers Association.

Mystical energy filled the air as Kate Wares offered insightful Love Tarot readings, while live figure drawing sessions—hosted by Elana Bushan, Doug Driediger, and Bunny Batista with model Niti—invited guests to experience the artistic process in action.

A huge thank you to our sponsors, Alliance Française and The Edward, for their generous support in making this celebration of the arts possible. We are grateful to everyone who attended and contributed to such a memorable evening.
