DESCRIPTION:Discover your artistic self through the tactile experience of coil building ceramics in this 2 day workshop. Join the Alberta Craft Gallery-Calgary and artist Darlene Swan from 10am-12:30pm on Saturday\, October 7 & again on Saturday October 21 as we explore hand-building with coils\, and glazing & surface decoration. \nDay 1\, Saturday\, October 7 – Learn about shaping and molding ceramic forms through the technique of coil building. Finished pieces will be allowed to dry and be bisque fired for you in preparation for Day 2. \nDay 2\, Saturday October 21 – Explore glazing and surface decoration and prepare your pot for the 2nd firing. The pieces will be available for pick-up 2 weeks later after a 2nd firing.
