SUMMARY:Performance: Madhuram | The Story of Krishna
DESCRIPTION:Performance: Madhuram | The Story of Krishna\ncSPACE Marda Loop\nStudio Theatre – Level 1\nMay 10\, 2026\n5:30 PM – 7:30 PM  \nMadhuram: The Story of Krishna\, is a captivating Bharatanatyam production that brings to life the many shades of Krishna through dance\, music\, and storytelling. From his playful childhood in Gokulam to his role as divine guide and protector\, this production celebrates the sweetness\, strength\, and spiritual depth of Krishna. \n  \nTickets & Info: https://shakthishethralaya.ca/#/events \n  \nAll proceeds from Madhuram: The Story of Krishna will go to CHILD Foundation\, a CRA-registered charity based in Calgary\, Alberta. CHILD Foundation built and operates the Maya Devi Hospital\, a 20-bed charitable hospital for women and children in the remote village of Sarurpur Kalan in northern India. The hospital was inspired by the dream of Mrs. Maya Devi\, who saw firsthand the urgent need for accessible healthcare in her community. Before the hospital opened in 2011\, women in the area faced extremely high risks during childbirth\, and many families had to travel long distances to access even basic medical care. Today\, Maya Devi Hospital serves thousands of patients and has transformed the lives of people across the region by providing compassionate care on a very modest budget. CHILD Foundation is run by a volunteer Board of Directors in Canada and works closely with its sister organization in India\, MOTHER Foundation\, which helps oversee local hospital operations and support services. By attending this production\, you are not only supporting the arts\, but also helping provide essential healthcare to women\, children\, and families in need. \n

SUMMARY:"Through the Veil" - A Paranormal Conversation
DESCRIPTION:“Through the Veil” – A Paranormal Conversation\ncSPACE Marda Loop\nStudio Theatre\nOctober 16\, 2025\n7:30 PM – 9:30 PM \nGhostbound Guides invites you to an intimate conversation at cSPACE Marda Loop\, hosted by two lifelong friends who have experienced the paranormal firsthand. Through honest dialogue\, they explore moments of fear\, loss\, and the unexplainable – sharing stories that reveal what it’s like to confront the unknown when life feels most fragile. \nWe’re currently collecting personal stories through our social media channels\, and selected encounters will be shared on stage during the event. If you’ve experienced something you can’t explain (and you’re open to telling your story) we’re accepting submissions and screening participants until October 1st. \nWe’re also inviting you to submit your questions about the paranormal in advance. The final portion of the evening will feature a curated Q&A\, where we’ll respond to a selection of these questions with care and consideration. \nThis is just the beginning. Ghostbound Guides is taking the pulse on Calgary’s appetite for the unexplained. More immersive experiences are coming in 2026. \nNOTE: This is a respectful space for personal and often vulnerable experiences. Heckling\, interruptions\, or any form of disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated. \nRecommended for Ages 16+ \nTickets Available At: www.eventbrite.com/e/through-the-veil-a-paranormal-conversation-tickets \n  \n\nAgenda \n\n\n\n\n\n7:30 PM – 7:40 PM: Welcome & Introduction \n\n\n\n7:40 PM – 8:10 PM: Personal Stories – Hosts share selected personal paranormal encounters and selected submitted stories from attendees/social media shared on stage. \n\n\n\n8:10 PM – 8:45 PM: In-Depth Conversation– Hosts dive deeper into themes: childhood experiences\, loss\, vulnerability\, confronting the unknown. SUMMARY:Warrior Fathers Film Screening
DESCRIPTION:Warrior Fathers\nFrom the maker of Elder in the Making and Fox Chaser comes a special screening of the documentary film Warrior Fathers in honour of the many fathers who work hard to raise and nurture their children. \nThomas Snow\, a Stoney Nakoda father searches his upbringing for wisdom on parenting his two youngest children in a colonial world. He finds himself caught between an unhealthy community on reserve suffering from generations of trauma and a technology-obsessed Western culture that is disconnected from the land. Thomas wants to bring traditional practices into their family life. But living far from the community which raised him\, how will he parents his kids? \nThe screening will be followed by an intimate Q&A with Director Chris Hsiung and story lead\, Thomas Snow. Their collaboration on the film began over coffee when they mused about how there weren’t many positive films about fatherhood. Between diaper changes and epic meltdowns\, they found a way to share the heartwarming story of Warrior Fathers. \nTickets now on sale at https://www.ticketscene.ca/events/51565/.
