DESCRIPTION:Level 4 Gallery \nInter(connected) is an exhibition of work by the 2022-2023 hear/d residency artist cohort: Ella Crompton\, Brendan Djentle Hamilton\, Liz Kim\, AJ Kluck\, Sydney Paquette\, Sid Serafin\, Jiaqi Shi\, Juli Song\, Sasha Terway and Christina Yao. \nEach of these artists were prompted to explore themes of mental health and resiliency in ways that resonated with them. Artists met weekly\, throughout the school year\, in meetings facilitated by peer-mentors Elise Lavallee Findlay and Levin Ifko. Through discussions\, as well as their own musings and experiences\, they created Inter(connected)\, an exhibition that explores each artists’ relationships to vulnerability\, growth\, tension and in-betweenness\, in ways that are so much more than linear. \nThe Hear/d Residency is a program where residents collaborate on the research\, development\, creation and curation of an exhibition that explores the theme of mental health.

DESCRIPTION:Artist Statement – Inna Nagaytseva\nIn a week my personal exhibition “Northern Dreams” will open in Calgary.\n\n\n\nNorthern Dreams is not just watercolour paintings. This is the strength and beauty of the most picturesque places for me. They symbolize silence and tranquility\, they move consciousness to where the soul connects with nature\, which for me\, as an artist\, is a very important factor in the development of a person. I invite you to visit these places with me\, through my paintings\, which I painted with extraordinary love.\n\n\n\nAll works presented at the exhibition are available for purchase\, 20% of sales will be sent to help families in Ukraine.\n\n\n\nIf you are unable to attend Calgary\, the exhibition will be available online on my website. DESCRIPTION:Level 3 Gallery\ncSPACE Marda Loop\nFor the months of July and August \nReception Friday July 7th\, 5pm-8pm \nKate Ware and Darren Flash team up for this Soul/Ful celebration. Kate’s work combines portrait photography and analog projections to eerie effect. Darren shares the maps and routes he followed as a world traveller on a pedal bike\, and the art and writings it inspired.
