DESCRIPTION:Cabinet of Curiosities by Lizzie Wharton\ncSPACE Marda Loop\nCubbyhole Gallery Level 2\nJuly 7 – August 25\, 2025\n8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (Closed on Sunday)  \nLizzie Wharton is a recent graduate of Alberta Univeristy of the Arts in Graphic Design and Advertising. She is currently working at the Alberta Craft Council as a gallery assistant\, and this is her first time showing her work in a public space. \nHer paintings are inspired by Victorian field guides\, and she focuses on mixing images of real-life specimens with her own tantasy creations inspired by playing Dungeons & Dragons with her friends. SUMMARY:Teen ReFashion Summer Camp with Riyoko Work/Shop
DESCRIPTION:Come explore how to deconstruct and reconstruct clothing into one-of-a-kind pieces of your own!\nIn this class\, students will learn techniques on how to take apart\, and put back together clothing* to create new fashion pieces of their own. From appliqué and patches to making a vest from a jacket\, the possibilities are whatever one can imagine (within the functionality of construction;))! And with the right instruction\, it can be fun and sew much fun to dive into! \n*A few weeks prior to camp\, students will be emailed a general list of clothing and materials to bring (ie. t-shirts\, shirts\, sweaters\, jeans\, jackets etc.)along with a few inspirational videos will be sent along to get the ideas going and help them with what to bring to class. \nThis camp runs Monday to Thursday.
