This April\, we’re pleased to host an important professional development opportunity presented by Spindle Films Foundation. \nJoin Javelin Laurence (they/them)\, an ICF-trained coach and multidisciplinary storyteller\, for Gender Diversity Training for Allies in the Film Industry. This in-person\, experiential workshop is designed to support cisgender professionals working across Alberta’s film industry in building the knowledge and practical skills needed to be effective allies to gender-diverse colleagues. \nThrough guided discussion\, hands-on exercises\, and real-world case studies\, participants will deepen their understanding of gender identity and gain confidence in navigating inclusive practices in the workplace. The session offers a supportive environment to ask questions\, practice using gender-neutral language and pronouns\, and explore best practices for fostering respectful and equitable collaboration. \nThis free training will take place on April 4\, 2026\, from 1:00–4:00 PM at cSPACE Marda Loop. Learn how to make peace between your inner critic and wild child nature. \n\n\n\n\nIn creativity and in life\, it can sometimes feel like our stubborn inner critic and reckless wild child are constantly making our lives miserable with their conflicting demands and messages. In this workshop\, learn how to listen to their wisdom and discover a collective path forward. \n\nBUY TICKETS ONLINE \n\n\n\n  \nWhat is a CreativiTEA? \nCreativiTEA is an in-person workshop series for grown-ups created by Tilted Windmills that combines fun\, insightful art-making activities with community-building through creativity. \nEach two-hour CreativiTEA session includes: \n\nA guided creative activity with all art supplies provided. In this particular workshop\, we will be using markers\, pencil crayons and/or crayons on paper.\nSocializing and discussion with tea and delicious goodies—also provided\n\nWhat you don’t need to bring to CreativiTEA? \nAny concerns about your perceived “artistic ability” or level of “talent”! By blending her training as both a therapeutic arts practitioner and a life coach\, she helps people tap into their creativity and potentially draw forth unexpected insights from the more visual side of their minds. \nStefan is Tilted Windmills’ clinical counsellor and a self-described wounded healer. He holds a Master’s degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) from the University of Calgary and strongly believes in the power of utilizing creativity as a pathway to help people explore\, discover and grow. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYour Event Venue Host: \nAtelier Artista @ cSPACE Marda Loop (4th floor) \nAtelier Artista is a skills-based fine art school focused on fostering appreciation and understanding of well-crafted\, beautiful representational artworks through the development of the technical skills necessary to create them.
