She is currently working at the Alberta Craft Council as a gallery assistant\, and this is her first time showing her work in a public space. \nHer paintings are inspired by Victorian field guides\, and she focuses on mixing images of real-life specimens with her own tantasy creations inspired by playing Dungeons & Dragons with her friends. I don’t chase the perfect mark. Instead\, I let the painting breathe\, revealing its own history through translucent layers….. I like to refer to artwork painted in contemporary Watercolour and Inks as “living works of art.” Translating places into pigments\, into works of art that hold a place within them a connection that resonates with the viewer! Controlled pigments only to a glimpse of premeditation\, ending in energy transformation! To achieve this\, my work is about the movement\, manipulation and responding to colour transformations and the pigment itself. “Watercolour isn’t just a medium—it’s alive. The pigments shift\, transform\, and respond\, shaping themselves into something unexpected.
