SUMMARY:Patchwork Pronoun Earrings with artist Laura Olive
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Culture Days with the Alberta Craft Council and Laura Olive\nIn this workshop\, participants will learn the basics of hand sewing and embroidery by making mixed-media earrings made primarily of felt fabric. Providing an inclusive\, trans-friendly space to get creative\, chat\, and have fun! Participants will be given the freedom to experiment with the materials available to create a project they’re excited about. At the end\, they will leave with 1 pair of custom earrings that include their pronouns. \nThese free workshops are designed for ages 13 and up and will last up to 120 minutes. \nAbout the instructor: Laura Olive is an interdisciplinary emerging artist based in Calgary\, Alberta working on their final year at AUArts in the Media Arts Program.
