The exhibition brings together the works of students and participants who make up the vibrant Atelier Artista studio community. \nAtelier Artista is home to a diverse group of creatives from all walks of life\, with a wide range of backgrounds\, skill levels\, and artistic goals. Some artists take classes\, while others join weekly drop-in sessions—often working on different days and rarely crossing paths. This annual exhibition offers a chance to unite their creativity in a shared gallery space. \nRather than presenting classroom assignments\, the show highlights each artist’s personal voice and vision\, expressed through the craft they develop at the Atelier. The result is a dynamic collection that reflects both individuality and the collective spirit of creativity that defines Atelier Artista. \n*Many of the pieces are available for sale. DESCRIPTION:Abstrait Liquide by Patricia Lortie\ncSPACE Marda Loop\nGallery Level 3\nSeptember 9 – October 6\, 2025\n8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (Closed Sundays) \n\n\n\nThe Alliance Française is delighted to host “Abstrait Liquide” by Patricia Lortie. \nHer work — including installations\, paintings\, sculptures\, and videos — explores the body’s connection to natural ecosystems\, blending the real and the unconscious to reveal a poetic sensibility. \n“Abstrait Liquide” is a series of acrylic paintings inspired by the movement of natural water systems. Filmed above and below the surface\, subtle ripples\, reflections\, and light guide each brushstroke. The works capture fleeting moments of water\, inviting reflection on nature’s rhythms and patterns. \nThe exhibition will be on view from September 9 to October 6.
