Some artists take classes\, while others join weekly drop-in sessions—often working on different days and rarely crossing paths. This annual exhibition offers a chance to unite their creativity in a shared gallery space. \nRather than presenting classroom assignments\, the show highlights each artist’s personal voice and vision\, expressed through the craft they develop at the Atelier. Guided by renowned fibre artist Lyn Pflueger\, feel the soft wool transform under your fingertips using the meditative art of wet felting. Then\, dive into the world of Shibori\, the centuries-old Japanese resist-dyeing techniques that produce mesmerizing patterns in rich\, soulful indigo. \nThis beginner-friendly class is perfect for anyone curious about the world of fibrecraft. Unplug for an afternoon and rediscover the joy of making something with your hands. All materials are provided—just bring your imagination\, and leave with a one-of-a-kind piece of functional art! \nA bit about your Instructor: \nLyn Pflueger was born and raised in Sydney\, Australia\, and now lives in Bragg Creek. She graduated from the Alberta College of Art and Design with a BFA and taught as a sessional instructor in their fibre department. Lyn is part of the Sheep Creek Weavers and continues to teach textile techniques. Her personal interests include felt making\, the structure of surfaces\, the properties of textile materials\, shibori dyeing and texture technqiues.
