She is currently working at the Alberta Craft Council as a gallery assistant\, and this is her first time showing her work in a public space. \nHer paintings are inspired by Victorian field guides\, and she focuses on mixing images of real-life specimens with her own tantasy creations inspired by playing Dungeons & Dragons with her friends. Then\, dive into the world of Shibori\, the centuries-old Japanese resist-dyeing techniques that produce mesmerizing patterns in rich\, soulful indigo. \nThis beginner-friendly class is perfect for anyone curious about the world of fibrecraft. Unplug for an afternoon and rediscover the joy of making something with your hands. All materials are provided—just bring your imagination\, and leave with a one-of-a-kind piece of functional art!  \nA bit about your Instructor: \nLyn Pflueger was born and raised in Sydney\, Australia\, and now lives in Bragg Creek. She graduated from the Alberta College of Art and Design with a BFA and taught as a sessional instructor in their fibre department. Lyn is part of the Sheep Creek Weavers and continues to teach textile techniques. Her personal interests include felt making\, the structure of surfaces\, the properties of textile materials\, shibori dyeing and texture technqiues.
