SUMMARY:Rode Hard: Hell Bent for Leather
DESCRIPTION:THEATRE ENCOUNTER presents A NEW PLAY BY AMOS ALTMAN\nIn this uniquely Albertan farce\, inspired by “bedroom farces” such as One Man\, Two Guvnors and Three’s Company\, an enigmatic drifter by the name of Oakley arrives at the rural home of Dick Bigman\, with the goal to swindle the lavish ranch for as much as they can get. Innuendo pushes into raunchiness when Oakley finds themself the romantic object of the rancher’s wife\, servants\, and maybe even the lovely farmer’s daughter. \nIn this new performance experiment\, the Encounter company explores the intersection of Farce and Expressionism\, to see how their distinctive approach to physical performance can inform a comedic work. DESCRIPTION:Finding Peace & Joy Within\nThis weekly meditation group for CALL members has returned by popular request. Each session includes periods of meditation (sitting comfortably in chairs) to allow participants the opportunity to experience the benefits for themselves\, and the opportunity to share experiences and insights with others. About half of the session will be talk/discussion and about half will be meditation. \nIf you are not a CALL member\, you can join for the annual fee of $50 and attend this and many other interest groups.
