DESCRIPTION:Artist Statement – Inna Nagaytseva\nIn a week my personal exhibition “Northern Dreams” will open in Calgary.\n\n\n\nNorthern Dreams is not just watercolour paintings. This is the strength and beauty of the most picturesque places for me. They symbolize silence and tranquility\, they move consciousness to where the soul connects with nature\, which for me\, as an artist\, is a very important factor in the development of a person. I invite you to visit these places with me\, through my paintings\, which I painted with extraordinary love.\n\n\n\nAll works presented at the exhibition are available for purchase\, 20% of sales will be sent to help families in Ukraine.\n\n\n\nIf you are unable to attend Calgary\, the exhibition will be available online on my website. DESCRIPTION:Level 1\ncSPACE Marda Loop\nStudio Theatre\nAptly named our Rebound concert\, we have put together our personal a cappella favourites from over the years + a few NEW arrangements. We cannot wait to share the afternoon with you! \n  \nAbout Altra Volta \nAltra Volta is a 7-voice a cappella vocal ensemble founded in 1998. Comprised of talented singers in the Calgary music community\, the group’s diverse repertoire includes classical choral\, vocal jazz and pop music. In recent years the group has gone from performing published choral works to also creating arrangements of their own\, exploring the many facets of the human voice to emulate various musical instruments. \nAltra Volta has won a number of awards\, including first place finishes at the Kiwanis Music Festivals in Calgary and Camrose\, and the Norman Kennedy Award for Outstanding Vocal Ensemble in 2001 and 2002. In addition to their own concerts\, Altra Volta has performed for weddings and other special events around the city\, including the True Patriot Love Tribute Gala and the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation Night of Honor. \nThe group has released three studio albums: Primo (2005)\, Either Way (2008)\, and a Christmas album\, Snowfall (2011).
